Began seeing land about 6:30 this morning. It was beautiful watching the sun come up behind one of the Sierra Leone mountains. The Minister of Health was on the dock for the arrival ceremony and she graciously welcomed the Africa Mercy and its crew to Sierra Leone. May God to miraculous works throughout this field service.
This country is about 60% Muslim, 30% African traditional religions, and 10% Christian. Please pray that Woody and I will love all the Sierra Leoneans as He loves, and see opportunities God provides to share Christ with them all. It is good to be back in West Africa. West Africa and its people grow on you after a while.

Nice Photos. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing! I know that God is working in Sierra Leone and in the lives there. I know because we are praying and He will hear our prayers.
May you see His glory today as your put your life in His hands.
Love, The Mahns Family
Woody & Robin,
I was saddened to hear about the incident at the screening. I know that it must have been a horrible blow to all of the Mercy Ships team there in Sierra Leone. Just know that you are in my prayers and I am, like you, confident that God is going to do something amazing there. Be encouraged today! We love you guys and are so thankful to be connected to the ministry that you are doing with Mercy Ships.
Blessings,
Ken
Hey Woody and Robin!
Sending our love today and letting you know that the children of DWCC will be hearing about your amazing work today, seeing where you are serving on a map and praying for you as part of our worship service! We love you and think of you often. Today, I pray that the Lord Jesus will encourage your hearts and minds and that as you refresh others, you also, will be refreshed!
Love you! and thank you for all you do for Him!

Greetings and love to you,
We heard of your set back in Sierre Leone. I’ve been praying for you constantly. We miss you! I’m taking the Perspectives course and it is such a wonderful blessing. I told Chuck VanEngen from Fuller Seminary that I feel like I”m getting to take a missions course that I never had time for when I was in seminary. He told me that Perspectives was birthed at Fuller. Never knew that! Anyway, just finished Lesson 12 on Christian Community Development. Last week we had an amazing speaker, Jeff Johnson, who spoke to us about how to minister to Muslims. He was the most passionate and animated speaker I’ve ever heard and that’s coming from a preacher who does voices during his message. God is showing DW more and more ways to connect with the people in our neighborhood. A lot of trust building going on! It’ll take some time! We’re partnering with a new ministry at Courson Park called Hope on the Go. It’s a ministry started by a couple who just have a heart to meet and minister to people who hang out at the park. I know you’re busy and it’s hard to write back, but when you get the chance would love to hear from you so we can pray specifically for your specific needs.
Hi Robin and Woody, Thinking of you and praying God gives you peace love and strenght as you go about this mission. Now that Vicky is in mission you are really on my heart. I just pray you will feel his presence around you. You will see as you glorfied his name. God bless you and keep you strong. Joan Palmer
